Urogynecology is a subspecialty of urology, which deals with overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence complaints.

The pelvic floor is the whole of the muscles, ligaments, faeces, and nerves that support the organs, uterus, vagina and rectum, which are settled in the pelvis. This intertwined complex structure of the pelvic floor plays an essential role in fulfilling their duties besides supporting only their organs in place.
